Children & Youth

The Children’s Ministry at CPC is Full of Joy & Excitement!

Here at CPC, children are highly valued, and our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for them and their families. We believe in raising children to love and believe in Jesus and want parents to feel comfortable leaving their children in our care, knowing that they will be encouraged and uplifted in their faith. If it’s your first time with us, please feel free to ask any of our capable staff or volunteers about our Children’s and Youth Ministries programs.

Sunday Morning Programs

Sunday School: 9:30-10:15

  • Preschool (3 years old)- Kindergarten: Children in this class will be introduced to Bible stories along with plenty of time for fun, too. (We do ask that children be potty-trained and ready to sit for a short Bible lesson before moving up from the toddler room)
  • 1st – 5th Grade: Children in this class will dive deeper into God’s Word, learning what it means to be a follower of Christ and how to serve Him.
  • Youth Sunday School (6th – 12th Grades): We offer Sunday School, which typically follows the morning message that Sunday, where we prepare our hearts to receive the living Word.

Children's Church

This program is for preschool age through 5th grade. Children stay in worship with their families until the children’s message (Jessie’s Children). Then they are led to their classrooms where they explore the Bible, learning about God’s plan for salvation and what it means to be a follower of Christ. This interactive class engages children through Biblical lessons that include Scripture memory, fun-filled activities, games, and crafts.

children's nursery services

A fully staffed nursery is available for newborns – 3 years. If you are not familiar with our building, ask an usher for directions.

There is no greater treasure than the children God has entrusted to our care.
At Christ Presbyterian, a fully staffed nursery is available for newborns and children up to age three. It is our joy to watch over, love, and help nurture your child in our nursery and crib room.

Our nursery comes equipped with age-appropriate toys and books to help keep your little one busy. The adjoining crib room is a quiet place for babies to nap and offers nursing mothers a place to feed and rock their babies in quiet comfort.

Youth Group

(6th – 12th Grades)

After worship, the Youth Group meets to share a meal, have fellowship, spend time in the study of God’s Word, and have some fun! Once per quarter, we have a small service project, go to a concert, have a movie night, or participate in other special events. Each summer, our youth go on a week-long mission trip to War, WV. The youth also participate in the G.I.F.T. (Growing In Faith Together) mentoring program, where they are paired with adult church members who help guide them in their faith journey and their relationship with Christ. Confirmation Class is also offered for youth seeking to become Covenant Partners (members) of our church and denomination- (E.C.O.) Presbyterian.

G.I.F.T. (Growing In Faith Together) is a mentoring program where each youth is paired with one or two adults who are mature in their faith and active at Christ Presbyterian Church. The purpose of this ministry is for our young disciples to build new inter-generational friendships with caring adults who witness the love and grounding of Jesus Christ in their lives. G.I.F.T. gatherings occur approximately every other month throughout the school year. Mentors and youth are also encouraged to meet occasionally to share a meal and fellowship together to encourage each other.
