Music & Handbells

“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16

Music

Music is one of the ways we offer worship and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. Here at Christ Presbyterian, we celebrate with a variety of musical styles which include tried and true traditional hymns as well as contemporary favorites. Music is also a wonderful way to meet people and grow close together in community. Please consider whether the Lord is calling you to share your musical gifts in one of these ways.

Handbell Choir

Our bell choir is a joy-filled ministry of caring friends who work together to offer our best anthems of praise to God in worship. Already knowing how to read music is NOT a requirement – as long as one is motivated to learn how to count rhythms. We practice on Wednesday evenings throughout the winter and spring months. If you have an interest in joining the bell choir, please contact the church office for more information.

Worship & Chancel Choir

Our chancel choir meets for seasonal celebrations (Christmas, Easter, special events). We are also always looking for more singers and instrumentalists to help lead worship on Sunday mornings. We would love to have you join us in making a joyful noise before the LORD!

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break into joyous song and sing praises!” (Psalm 98:4)

Children's Choir

We invite all children to sing with us! Our Children’s Choir (pre-K thru 5th grade) practices during Children’s Church and occasionally after church, and sings periodically throughout the year in worship and during special services.

The Sacraments: Baptism & The Lord’s Supper

Baptism by water is the rite of initiation into the Community of Faith called the Church, and is a sign and seal of God’s prevenient love and grace toward us in Jesus Christ. That is, God, in Christ, loved us before we loved Him (1 John 4:19), and was already working toward our salvation before we could ever respond to Him. Holy Baptism is celebrated for adults professing faith in Jesus Christ, and for children whose parents are practicing Christians and who pledge to raise their children to know and love Jesus Christ. Baptized children are invited to “confirm” their faith upon reaching an appropriate age and understanding of Christian discipleship.
The Lord’s Supper (Communion) has been called the rite of continuation and celebrates Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross, where His death atoned for our sins, and reconciled us to God. As we break bread and share the cup, we remember God’s great love for us in Christ and our new standing as His redeemed sons and daughters!

We typically celebrate The Lord’s Supper during worship on the first Sunday of the month and invite all baptized believers to participate.
